Frigidaire company has a long history. It all started back then in 1913, when the first electric refrigerator was sold. Alfred Mellowes designed a new version of the original unit in 1915 and the Guardian Frigerator Company was established only one year later to manufacture them. General Motors saw the potential of this company in 1918 and after purchasing it, they have renamed it to Frigidaire. GM improved production facilities. Mass production started and new sales offices were opening. Since then the Frigidaire company keeps growing. They have expanded their production line through years and you can find the following Frigidaire products in the shops today: air conditioners (the first Frigidaire air-cooled, window-type air conditioner was produced 1938), cookers, dryers, freezers, microwaves, washers and refrigerators, dishwashers, dehumidifiers, disposers, oil heaters, water dispensers and others. Frigidaire is one of the biggest innovators and contributors of the evolution in the industry.
